Am now in Sydney after a 3 day adventure tour on a minibus from melbourne, which included hiking up a mountain!!! Sophie was wearing flip flops or 'thongs'wat a muppet!
Melbourne was lovely but am glad to be somewhere else now, was getting itchy feet.
melbourne is the sports capital of Australia so we went to an Ozzie Rules Footie Match at the MCG stadium and also watched the world swimming championships which were in the city.
Argh only 3 mins left have also watched the 'penguin Parade on Phillip Island, got smashed on Jack Daniels (Abbie have got some gossip for you lol), made some cool friends, two guys called Urs and Christian from Switzerland and Shawn from south africa whom we are chilling with in melbourne. Going to the beach tomozza or seeing the sights of Sydney.

| Oz update |

Am now in Airlie Beach having just sailed the Whitsundays and been snorkelling, other exciting things include:
Camping out and 4 wheel driving around Fraiser Island- saw lots of Dingoes and Goannas, the 4X4s hold 10 people but being under 21 we couldn't drive. The best place on Fraser Island is Lake Mackenzie, a huge lake with water so clear and clean you can drink it and white sand which is like walking on flour.
Also Byron Bay was my favouritist place so far, its this small hippie beach place. It has surfing, good clubs and bars, cool little boutique shops where i bought an old dress for $10 thats about 4 pound! I visited a place called Nimbin (google it) with 2 Irish guys which was a weird experience.
Brisbane was a cool city which we explored and went shopping in lots, from Brisbane we also visited the Gold Coast which is famous for its theme parks. We went to a water park called Wet N Wild which was seriously fun and I think I laughed so hard on one ride I almost peed haha!
We flew into the centre of Oz into the dessert for 3 days to see Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta, camping out again and having lots of BBQs. Ayers Rock was amazing and its not until you get close to it that you realise its more than just a big rock. We didnt climb it as its a sacred Aboriginal place and it really upsets them to climb it so we did the base walk. We also walked around Kings Canyon and took a helicopter ride over it. Me and Kel did a camel ride haha where I laughed pretty much the whole time and the lady thought I was really odd.
We stayed overnight with our bus in this hillbilly place called Croombit where we did a goat rodeo, clay pidgeon shooting and a mechanical bull lol.

So am now in Oz!! Mental eh
We arrived yesterday in Melbourne and am still rather jet lagged, jus monging out in the lounge at the moment watching Prison break, the hostel is really small but very homey. Its full of random tat such as african masks, chinese lanterns, penguin ornaments and tea pots lol.
When we arrived it was raining and dull and we were like :-( we tried not to fall asleep as to not mess up our sleeping patterns but our 1 hour power nap turned into 6 hours, we then got pizza and ice cream for tea and went to bed. But were up at 6am due to sleep patterns.
Today has been really sunny around 22 degrees and we walked to the local market where we bought fruit and veg as plane food is not too good for the digestive system :-S
We are trying to figure out if we have enough money to go inland and visit Ayers Rock, I really want to go as I can imagine it would be amazing.
Melbourne is nice, mainly museums and galleries.
I think the other two are missing home a tad but in a few days we will be in the swing of things a bit more.

....14 days left till OZ!!!
Argh and i'm still sorting out insurance and visas :-S bit disorganised methinks, in 14 days I will be on my 24 hour flight to the land down under and am so excited!
In the mean time I have one week left at work :-D where I have slaved 44 hours a week just to save enough money for this trip, and yet I still don't feel like I have enough money. Sure I could have stayed cooped up for 3 months and not gone out or bought any clothes etc to save money but who really does that. Anywayz I have a credit card so wats the problem, might as well start with debt before I go to uni and just add to it I think.
Also before I go I have scheduled another trip down to Portmsouth to see people and say my goodbyes :-( and abbie I am going to your kitchen this time cos Henry's was minging and also "I'm 29" haha. Sammy B you best not be ill so I can see you this time you kook!
I also have to exchange my money, pack some clothes, buy some clothes and save the world!

Life has been pretty dull of late, this is how it goes....
work/home/sleep/work/home/sleep/work/home/go out/work/home/cinema etc etc
People are nasty fuckers!I dont believe I am ever that rude to people on the phone so far I have been called 'Stupid' been told to go 'Fuck myself', had some sick bastard i can only assume spanking his monkey whilst talking to me, one woman tell me she is suicidal because of debt issues and have also been told to 'fuck my apology from the company'!!!
And these are people that ring us up! God knows how much abuse the sales team who call people at their houses get.
I am just bored thats all. Its been nice with Abbie coming back and then Henry by surprise, that made my week bearable.
Am soon booking visas, insurance, hostels, credit cards for OZ land with Kel deffo coming with me and Kel :-D honestly as cheesy as it sounds the fact that I am working towards something keeps me from blowing my brains out each morning. I have a tally chart on my calender counting down the days. 41 days now!!

I felt it was time for a new update for the world of Ruth so here goes...
I am not at the ELC anymore as I was only an Xmas temp and now work at a call centre called Ansaback which is brain nummingly dull but pays very well. I am working 8am-6pm most days so its pretty hard work.
Me and Soph have booked our flight to Australia for the 26th March!! How exciting we're going for three months and coming home the 24th June. We're flying into Melbourne and working up the East coast and finishing at Cairns.
I have finally booked a day off at work and am getting my tooshy to Portsmouth to see everyone down there (I expect you to at least buy some food for me when i come down- yes Abbie I am talking to you cos I know Henry wont have any!!!).
So yeh life is pretty hectic at the moment but all is looking good :-D |

Haha me and my mam just danced around the kitchen to Venga Boys so i am writing this very knackered and in need of a beverage.
Am very happy at the moment, people are back from uni and I can't wait to see them, tomorrow night at fire and ice is gonna be ace cos i can finally go clubbing where there is good music. No offence R'N'B lovers!
I had my work xmas do last night, it was tres amusant with my boss turning up wankered and another lady getting trollied on wine. Along with the combination of cheesy music, the novelty of seeing people outside of work and the cheap alchohol it turned out to be a wicked night. Followed by going to Fire and drinking some more.SAFE.
Now I am off to the cinema to see The Holiday again!

Long version of story:

Saturday afternoon I went to get my hair dyed, I wanted a platinum almost white icy blonde put on.
Hairdresser: Yeh thats fine, the easiest was is to bleach it
Me: Oh really, I didnt want to bleach it cos I used to bleach it and my hair went really dry hence why I had it all chopped off
Hairdresser: Well thats the only way to get the colour you want
I thought ok, I trust her, she always cuts my hair she knows it well etc. After an hour and a half of sitting with bleach on my head, I was incredibly bored and my arse had gone numb! Then to piss me off even more she got a bloody trainee to rinse it out who got my neck all wet and my jumper PFFT! She unveiled my new hair :-O it was yellow!! She could tell I was unhappy and said she would sort it free of charge but couldn't do it till Monday. Thus I didn't go out saturday night with the girls and I spent all day Sunday inside.
Monday morning came around and I was really excited unfortunatly either my hairdresser kept mucking up or my hair was being a bastard because I ended up having my hair go from yellow to silver to ginger to yellow to even more yellow. After having my hair dyed 5 times already I thought FUCK BLONDE
so now i'm brunette!!!!!!
My hair is very dry and in need of some desperate repair :-(

Had my last dance show ever yesterday and it was really sad :-[[[ I have been dancing since I was three and even though I am going to continue dancing till I go to uni in September, the shows are a really big deal becasue they only happen every two years! The whole school gets really excited and now I will never have that again. I feel blue.
Maxine brought us all up on stage and gave us prezzies- we all cried. Then all my girls I teach gave me hugs and kisses- I cried even more. Then Maxine starting crying- we all blubbed loads!!
I have met many cool people through dancing and we got really close over this last show. I will miss them loads when we all go away. |

Hope everyone had a good fireworks night? I was meant to go to Christchurch park with Emma and Nat because they were back from uni. But after teaching dancing 9am-1pm and then having a dance rehersal 2-5 I was absolutley shattered, whats worse I also got a massive migraine that made my hand go all pins and needles!!Thus I spent my Saturday night in trying to get some rest through all the fireworks outside which sounded more like the battle of the Somme and missing emma and nat completely!!! Hurumph I was very grumpy and now its so bloody freezing and I still have a head ache! Booooo I think I am going to go watch a funny film to cheer me up maybe anchorman or some sex and the city hmmmmm... |

Zest last night was fricken ace! It was fancy dress and the public did not disappoint! There was KISS/ Old Greg and the cockney hitch hiker from Mighty Boosh/ V for Vendetta/ Oscar as Borat!/ Wonder woman/ Superman/ Batman and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre to name a few. Had a wicked night getting my boogey on as Monday nights had started to dwindle a bit in recent weeks. Pictures shall soon be posted on my myspace so look out! |

YES were awesome
Jus got back from the regent with my dad where I saw Yes (well two members Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson aka singer and pianist)- it was an all acoustic and grand piano set with just them two on stage which was really good but I did fancy some drums and an electric guitar halfway through.
For those who aren't familiar with Yes they sang 'owner of a lonely heart' probably their most famous hit.

In other news I have an interview finally on Saturday morning for the early learning centre in town who are looking for xmas work (i get to play ((aka try sell))with toys all day tee hee). Hopefully I will be able to save enough and work my arse off to get together enough money to go to Australia with Sophie next year sometime.
Missing people at uni very much so and feel a bit lost at the moment stuck at home with nothing to do but when I save enough dosh I am coming to visit y'all especially the kesgrave massive down in Portsmouth- Peace up Pompey stylee XXXX |

It is also Joe's last night out tonight which is very sad and I had to say goodbye to Emma and Nat last night which is pants! |
